Oscar has had a very busy month!

He tried out for the University of Minnesota wrestling team...

Auntie Karen visited...

Uncle Morgan visited and made faces...

He got a new hoodie.... (Thanks Donna!)

He got a surprise visit from Aunt Cathy

(who taught him "toes-to-nose")...

and he went to the Farmers' Market with Aunt Karen and Aunt Malia.

A distraction

We've noticed that when Oscar gets really hungry, sometimes he stares at the light fixtures on our ceiling.

Two Little Piggies

4 months old

Oscar is 4 months old tomorrow. He is quite a big boy weighing in at a whopping 18 pounds. We are having so much fun with him. He is talking up a storm. His cache of words include...

"Iowa"

"Hi"

"Yeah"

Fun in the Sun

We spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the children's park.

We had a fun time riding the carousel with Therese.

Therese sings Italian songs to Oscar.

Oscar enjoys some playtime sitting in his Bebe Pod.

Most of the time he is intensely focused on his toy.

Sometimes he squeals with delight that he is sitting on his own.

Grammy Gayle and Grampy Al Visit

Oscar bonded with his grandparents and Dr. Seuss.

Grammy Gayle made Oscar giggle the entire weekend.

Saturday afternoon with Great Grandpa Earl

Oscar and his parents went to see Great Grandpa Earl and Naomi for a picnic lunch at Valley Village.  (They were a little late because they got lost in a behemoth Whole Foods.)

After lunch, Grandpa sang "Under the Bamboo Tree" to Oscar.    "I don't know where I got it from", said Great Grandpa, "but I can sing it!"

NYPD Goo

Oscar is now 3 months old, but he looks much older. He's packed on a few pounds and lost most of his hair, except for a ring around the lower part of his head. Vince thinks he looks like Dennis Franz.
