First Trip to the Beach

It was a beautiful day in San Francisco, so we decided to introduce Oscar to Baker Beach. As an added bonus, we brought rotisserie turkey sandwiches from the Arguello Super, which were most delicious (Dad is really into sandwiches this week, for some reason). Although eventually the clouds crept in, we had a great time while it lasted.

95th percentile

Oscar had his 4-month-old pediatric appointment last week, and the doctor proclaimed him "spectacular".  He weighed in at 19 lbs 6 oz, and 26 inches long.

He also impressed us all by rolling over independently for the very first time, right there on the examining room table, and immediately after the doctor asked, "Is he rolling over yet?"   The kid's got flair....

Oscar has had a very busy month!

He tried out for the University of Minnesota wrestling team...

Auntie Karen visited...

He got a new hoodie.... (Thanks Donna!)

He got a surprise visit from Aunt Cathy

(who taught him "toes-to-nose")...

and he went to the Farmers' Market with Aunt Karen and Aunt Malia.

A distraction

We've noticed that when Oscar gets really hungry, sometimes he stares at the light fixtures on our ceiling.

Hmm, I wonder why...

Two Little Piggies

4 months old

Oscar is 4 months old tomorrow. He is quite a big boy weighing in at a whopping 18 pounds. We are having so much fun with him. He is talking up a storm. His cache of words include...

"Iowa"

Fun in the Sun

We spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the children's park.

We had a fun time riding the carousel with Therese.

Therese sings Italian songs to Oscar.

I'm Sitting and Standing! (well, sort of...)

Oscar enjoys some playtime sitting in his Bebe Pod.

Most of the time he is intensely focused on his toy.

Sometimes he squeals with delight that he is sitting on his own.

Vince teaches Oscar how to stand up for himself. ;)

Grammy Gayle and Grampy Al Visit
